June 8.
Mark it. Or don’t. It’s coming whether you check the calendar or not. Apple finally confirmed the schedule for Worldwide Developers Conference 2026, and for the millions waiting on iOS 18 or whatever comes next, the wait is nearly over.
June 8, 10 a.m. Pacific. That’s the showtime.
The big keynote happens then. You can watch on the TV app. YouTube works too. It’s the usual circus where they parade out software for macOS, iPadOS, the lot. But here is the kicker. This isn’t just another update cycle. People are betting everything on Siri. A real change. An AI overhaul that actually makes sense.
The invite graphic sent out on Monday gave us nothing. Well. Almost nothing. Just a bird. Or something bird-like. A glowing dove with the words “Coming bright up.” Which sounds less like software and more like a warning to stay awake.
What does it mean?
Nobody knows. Except maybe Mark Gurman over at Bloomberg. He thinks it points to Siri. A new face for the assistant. Maybe a new app? The dove looks like it could be the icon for a standalone Siri experience, fueled by Google’s Gemini tech. It’s weird. It’s ambiguous. It’s Apple.
We’re expecting talk of AI. Lots of it. Apple Intelligence is going to take center stage again.
So get ready for more hype about smart features that might not be quite ready. Or they will be. We’ll find out in a few weeks. The dates are set. The bird is drawn.
Let’s see if they deliver.
